Willow

Y aquí está Willow, llegará a casa de mi sobri de parte de Papá Noel.

Tiene una preciosa melena castaña-rojiza y ondulada, y con esos chips se la ve muy dulce. He pedido además unos chips marrones, para que sean como los de mi sobrina, porque es algo que en Chloe le encanta. Habrá que ver si tenemos suerte y llegan para esa fecha...

El jersey lleva un conejito, y la falda y calcetines van a juego.

And here is Willow, she'll be coming to my niece's home with Santa.

She has beautiful brown (a little redish) and wavy hair, and is quite sweet with those chips. I've also ordered a pair of brown chips, so that her eyes are like my niece's, that's sth she loves of Chloe. We'll see if we get lucky and they arrive on time...

The pullover has a little bunny and the skirt and socks fit together.

Morrigan

Aquí está Morrigan, la morena del grupo. Después de un buen lavado de pelo y ya vestida no parece la misma! Me encanta su melenaza!!!

El vestido esta vez lleva manga larga y un bolsillo, con diadema y calcetines a juego.

Here is Morrigan, the black haired one. She doesn't seem the same after having her hair washed and wearing some clothes! I love her great hair!!!

This dress has long sleeves and a pocket, with a matching hairband and socks.

TBL

Bueno, ya ha llegado las nenas!!! Eso sí, yo pensaba que eran factory -error de principiante-, pero en realidad son fakes, y parece ser que las llaman TBL (compradas en Taobao). Es fácil darse cuenta en cuanto las coges. El plástico es de un tono rosado y de peor calidad, aparte de otras diferencias menos obvias.

A su favor, unas melenazas súper suaves y mucho más pelo que mi Raspberry.

Tengo que reconocer que aunque me fastidia que no sean factory me resultan guapísimas. Claro que algunos de los chips no terminan de convencerme... Pero eso tiene solución ;)

Well, the girls have arrived!!! Though I thought they were factory girls -beginner's mistake- they are really fakes, and it seems they're called TBL (bought in Taobao). It's easy to realize just as you have them in your hands. Plastic is kind of pinkish, and less quality too, apart from other less obvious differences.

On their behalf, super soft hair, much more abundant than my Raspberry's.

Gotta admit, in spite of feeling a little off cause they're not factory girls, I find them really beautiful. Sure, I'm not happy with all of the eyechips, but that can be solved ;)

Por fin me han mandado el tracking number de las nenas que pedí, ya empezaba a preocuparme!!! Y, la verdad, me ha sorprendido... el viernes salieron de Hong Kong y ya están en Madrid!!! Imagino que ahora dependerá de aduanas lo que tarden en llegar.

En cuanto lleguen subiré alguna fotillo.

They've finally sent me the tracking no. of the dolls I ordered, I was starting to worry!!! And the truth is I'm surprised... they left Hong Kong last friday and they're already in Madrid!!! I guess it's up to customs now to see how long it takes them to get here.

I'll post some picture as soon as they arrive.

Anoche me puse a experimentar y... voilá! un modelito hecho entero con un par de calcetines de bebé!!!

De camino / On their way

Aquí está la foto de mis nenas!!! Supuestamente, ya están de camino. Eso sí, una de ellas es para mi sobrina, en principio la castaña, aunque ha visto la foto y le ha encantado la pelirrosa... ya veremos.

Por el momento estoy muy contenta con la intermediaria, el trato está siendo muy agradable y se explica bastante bien en inglés. Sólo queda ver cuánto tardan en llegar.

Lo más seguro, una vez que lleguen, es que me ponga con la pelirrosa, al menos con el mecanismo de los ojos, porque si al final se la queda mi sobrina le gustará que cierre los ojos para dormir ^^. Lo único seguro -de momento- que no haré será el reroot, especialmente por falta de tiempo. No sé qué saldrá, pero tengo muchas ganas de probar.

Here is my girls' picture!!! They're supposed to be on their way. Of course, one of them is for my niece, it was gonna be the brown haired one, but she's seen the picture and now she loves the pink haired one... we'll see.

Right now I'm quite happy with the intermediary, she's being very nice and writes quite well in English, making things easier. Only thing left is see how long it takes for them to arrive.

Mosy surely, once they arrive, I'll begin with the pink haired one, at least with the eye mechanism, cause if she finally becomes my niece's, she'll love her closing eyes to sleep ^^. Only thing I know for sure I won't be doing -not yet- is the reroot, specially cause I have almost no spare time. I don't know what I'll accomplish, but I'm expectant to try!!!

Pedido confirmado! / Confirmed order!

Acabo de recibir el email confirmando que las muñecas están en stock!!! En cuanto llegue al ordenador hago el pago y aviso para que las compren!

De momento la intermediaria parece maja, tenía algo de miedo de hacer un pedido así, a ver qué tal se da y a ver si no tardan demasiado.

Finalmente son 2 para mí y 1 para mi sobrina, así que ahora toca hacerles algún vestidito para cuando lleguen!

I've just received an email confirming the dolls are in stock!!! As soon as I get to the computer I'll do the payment and tell them to buy them!!!

As far as I now, the intermediary seems quite nice, I was a little scared of doing this kind of order, let's see what happens and how long it takes.

It's finally 2 for me and 1 for my niece, so now it's time to sew some dresses for them!

Factory Blythe para Navidad / for Xmas

Cada vez que miro a Chloe estoy más convencida de que tardaré siglos en atreverme a cambiarla. Además, muy probablemente por ser la primera que veo en "carne y hueso", me parece casi perfecta tal como está y me da pena retocarla.

Así pues, decidido, para estas navidades me regalo alguna factory y practico, que segura estoy de que cometeré mil errores hasta que me salga algo aceptable. Además, aprovecho para encargar otra a los Reyes Magos para mi sobrina, que tiene 3 años y cuando vio a Chloe se enamoró locamente, muy a pesar de su Barbie...

Espero pedirlas pronto para que lleguen a tiempo, ya os iré contando qué tal sale.

Everytime I look at Chloe I'm completely sure it'll be ages until I finally customize her. And, quite probably as a consequence of being the first "flesh and bone" Blythe I ever see, for me she's almost perfect just as she is, and it seems a pity to change anything.

So... I've made up my mind, this xmas I'm getting a factory Blythe to practice, 'cause I'm sure I'll make quite a lot of mistakes before achieving anything. Also, I'll ask the Three Wise Men for another one as a gift for my niece, she's 3 and has fallen in love with Chloe -much to Barbie's regret...

I'll try to order them soon so they can get here in time. I'll tell you all about it.

La culpa es de Chloe / Blame Chloe

Aquí está la culpable de este blog... Se llama Chloe y es una muñeca Blythe Raspberry Sorbet (RBL) que hace muy poco ha llegado a su nuevo hogar.
Aún me da algo de miedo empezar a customizarla pero, hasta que me decida, creo que iré probando a hacerle algo de ropa y complementos. Y, lo que más me gustaría por ahora, sería intentar pintar mis propios eye chips, así que en breves haré un pedido de Cool Cat y me pondré a experimentar!

Here is the one to blame for this blog... Her name's Chloe and she's a Raspberry Sorbet Blythe doll (RBL) who has recently arrived to her new home.
I still haven't found the courage to custom her but, till I finally do it, I guess I'll try and sew some clothing and accesories for her. And, what I'd really like to do now, is to hand paint my own chips, so I'll be ordering some Cool Cat chips quite soon and start trying!
